Question about a mirror

Someone decided to kick the mirror off the passenger side of my truck last night. I was thinking about replacing both of them with the ones that have the built in turn signals. My mirrors currently don't have them, so I was curious if all '05 silverados come pre-wired. If not how much work will it take to wire them.

thanks,

The truck isn't pre-wired for the turn signal mirrors. As for the installation it is easy. I put in a set into my truck earlier this year. You just need to run a wire from the mirror assembly down into the door panel to splice into the wire for the turn ligt.

I purchased a set of Muth mirrors off of e-bay. They came with instructions and all the other hardware that was necassary for the job.

Have a nice day.

Actually the '03-up trucks are pre-wired for the turn signal mirrors *IF* you get GM mirrors (with the turn-signal,heat and power fold feature)

They are basically a plug-n-play mirror,You will need to have your truck reprogrammed for the power-fold feature to work but everything else (The power adjustments,heat,turn-signals) will work upon plugging them in.

I have installed these mirrors in a few '03-up trucks that didn't have them.

If you buy the Muth mirrors like Bill mentioned then you will need to run a wire down into and out of the the door panel and through the A-pillar like he mentioned,I did this on my '99 and it was a pretty easy installation as he mentioned.
