1500 1500hd suspension

hi everyone im pretty new to this forum ( just bought my new truck 2006 sierra )and i have a few questions. Ive had my truck for 4 months now, so its time to start playin with it. So far i love the truck, but i really wish i would have bought an HD (1500, 2500)so thats where my question comes in. I know that the 1/2 ton suspension is not interchangeable with 3/4 ton suspension. So my question is can you take the front suspension out of a 1500hd and put it in just a plain 1500. Not to sure if the 1500hd is a real 3/4 ton. Also can you take a differential out of an HD and put it in a 1500. Basically i would like to put the most heavy duty stuff on the truck i can ( brakes, springs, ball joints ect.) thanks for any help

Unfortunately, the only front end parts that are interchangeable between the 1500 and the 1500HD, 2500HD and 3500's are the Torsion Bars and Keys. Everything else is diffferent. That's not to say you couldn't do it but it wouldn't be worth the cost or the time. It would probably be cheaper to buy another truck.
