I just purcahsed a Dana 44 front axle for my 87 1/2 ton. The donor truck was a 77 chevy 1/2 ton. Anyone have any experience/recommendations pertaining to selectable lockers. ARB Air locker? Ox locker? Detroit Electrac?

I am using an Eaton E-locker in both my diffs with no problems and they are a lot cheaper than an ARB and quality wise are just as dependable. Check out Randy's Ring & Pinion(www.ringpinion.com). Their prices are not to bad but they are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to diffs.

the E-locker is my first choice over the arb just because the arbs leak air after some time.

if you drive it the ox locker has a fork that wares out

the Electrac has a motor that looks plastic hanging off of it, I'd break that off first time out
