Fan power switch problem 01 tahoe

Hi,

 

I'm looking for a solution/help on fixing a fan switch problem. When I switch my climate control switch to "off" position, the fan occasionally stays on. I don't know how to turn this off. At "off" position it stays on, "Auto" position it stays on. It's like the off switch doesn't know to stay off!!

 

Just wondering if this is a common problem with this system? is there an easy fix/solution for this? thanks

I wouldn't say it's a common problem, but we have seen this on occasion. It's usually the blower motor control module... which takes the place of a blower resistor on manual or different models.

so what would you best recommendation to fix this problem? change the entire blower control module?? thanks for your help.
