Add marker lights on mirrors???

I have an 06 2500HD with the towing mirrors, and am just tossing around the idea of adding marker lights to the mirrors. Any thoughts/opinions? I was thinking of a set of turn signals that I saw a few years ago for sportbikes. 6 amber LED's in a straight flexible strip (Low profile). I can't seem to find them anymore, but haven't really looked that hard. Thought they would be perfect on the outer sides of the mirrors, running vertically. Really more for looks than anything, but it would give others an idea of where the mirrors are if they are extended.

I have seen add on LED turn signal markers for any mirror. Can't remember where I saw them. Perhaps a google search will find them. As I recall, they were not expensive.
