85 scottsdale with hesitation

Guys and Gals,

I have a 1985 Scottsdale 4x4 that has 181,000 miles that has had no modifications what so ever. It is hesitating when you try to go into passing gear and will stutter at cold start up. I would appreciate the help as I have just changed the plugs and I don't want to sink money into it unnessarily. It has always been serviced on time and doesn't smoke or use oil. It may be the carb or vacuum line but I would like to know as I will be trying to turn it back into a daily driver. Thanks guys for the input.
