Do the "Classic" end of model trucks that GM is making actually have Classic badging anywhere on the truck???? i know back in 1998 right before they changed styles the GMC's tailgate read: "Classic 1500" below the sierra emblem, every once in a while you see one on the road. i know there calling these trucks 2007's but there not the new body style yet, my buddy says he looked at one but couldnt remember if it said classic anywhere on it! just curious???

I do not remember seeing that on the ones I have been looking at. Those would jump out at me as and be a little funny if they did have them since I am in a "Classic" edition jeep right now.

My '07 Classic doesn't have anything on the outside saying it's a Classic.

Even the oil change guys thought it was an '06 until they opened the hood.

There are many reasons I chose this over the new redesign:

First, I got a killer deal on this truck. $5000 off sticker, and this is a regular cab W/T with the V6!!

Second, I don't like the look of the new redesign.

Third, I don't want to pay over sticker, which is what most dealerships around here are doing, and, they only have crew cabs in stock now. I'll stick to my $15,000 brand new truck. :)

Fourth, this design has been around since '99, so I know that it's as solid as it will get. I wouldn't buy a vehicle in it's first year or first year of a redesign.

I bought mine for similiar reasons. Good discount, hate the new design of the HDs, and since its an 07, I still get the 5 yr 100000mile warranty.

First years of new designs always have horrible resale values too. Or at least it seems.

I did the exact same thing! I do not like the new design at all....Got my 2007 brand new Silverado WT for $15,000 including tax, it has AC, automatic, cruise. Standard cab, standard bed. I will likely keep it for a long long time, everyone needs a pick-em-up!

I totally forgot about the 5yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. :troll:

I'm already looking to add a few things to my truck.

Since I live in Texas I've thought about getting the Texas Edition badging for it.

Oh, I had to promise my wife I'd keep this thing for a long time, and I can't gripe about gas mileage at all. :(
