2007 unlock radio codes?

I have a 07 Silver with a am/fm radio. I bought a radio on Ebay for 50.00 GM#93801884, looks like new. Anyway Pressing buttons 2 and 3 or 1 and 4 does not work. I think since I have a newer radio I have to go to the Dealer and have them scan the radio, remove the old VIN and put mine in. IS this true??

Yeah, but I think it might be possible to do it yourself if you have a Tech II scanner.
