3.42 front differential, Tech manuals anyone?

I bought a used one from a guy who said it only had 30k on it. The seals are shot from removal of the wrecked vehical. There may be a possibly a broken pin inside. My neighbor who is an old mechanic said I should tear this one down before installing it. My Haynes repair manual showed absolutely nothing in doing a tear down of this 3.42 front differential that came out of a 2004 s10 blazer. I've got a 1991 s10 ext. cab 4x4 pu. The differential I currently have in my truck is bad. Where can I get technical information so I can tear into this differential?

 

Anyone know of any specifics I should be looking for once I an inside the differential?
