Hey, wondering any suggestions on makin my 1996 5.7L 350 Sierra go faster. It's 250 stock horses are nice...but id like a lil more...like any guy would  So i am thinkin new cold air intake (AEM, or K&N), Magnaflow exhaust, i was debating chipping it...wondering if it is worth the $500(cdn). Then there is the whole 350 conversion to a 383 stroker..lol i dont want anything that drastic just yet. so any suggestions would help!

Its a tuned PCM (computer). I got 87-89 octane tune, good for 10-15 horse, no speed governor, higher & faster shifts ect. All for $158.10. You gotta use paypal or send a check in the mail. My buddy has paypal, I dont like the idea of buying stuff online. I just gave him $160 in person and he ordered it online.

Lots of guys on here have it. I think its the ultimate bang for the buck. Lots of great reviews.

Please don't waste your money on the "cold" air intake or exhaust (unless you just want that sweet V8 music), they will do next to nothing for you.

But, if you want the best bang for your buck without having to tear apart your engine, a custom tune like Wait4Me will work great.

If you really want to make the 350 fast, get some high-flowing heads, an aggressive cam, then bolt-on a blower and get a true dyno tune for it all!

One word of advice...when you put in the new PCM immediately get the relearn done because (speaking from experience) if you take it to the dealer they completely wipe it

 My good buddies uncle works at a Chevy dealer so I get mine done there, only downside is its 35 minutes away and we have no free time, that are within the hours the dealer is open. Im shooting for January

Heads and a cam would deffinately wake up the 350. I heard they start sucking at 4500rpms +, thats probobly due to the cam. Cam and programer would wake it up. It wouldnt be too expensive either, if you can install it yourself. Cams maybe 2-400$, programer is $158.10. Heads are in the quadrouple digits :D

lol hahahhah, Im good. I need to get that done though. If me and my buddy ever had a day off work it would be nice. Oh well, job ends a week after Christmas then school starts, and my schedule is rediculously (sp?) easy, so Ill get it done then. Then more mods. Then less gas, but thats ok.

Did you email to [email protected]?

Yes i did...and i just got it back now actually. This sounds very interesing so wats the deal...considering that i have never heard of it before? You send them your pcm and they programm it and send it back to you? but meanwhile you dont have a vehicle to drive?

158 bucks and they send you a programmed pcm. You just swap them out and keep the old one.

Yep.

Its also pretty cheap to send it back in when you need it updated, if you get future mods. I think you just pay S&H. Then you still have the stock one to drive on. I you like the wait4me a lot you could probobly just send your stock pcm in and keep driving on the tuned one.

i just tried my new PCM from "wait4me". It's awesome. I was really surprised at the difference. Schmidt is right though, it needs a camshaft. Although, I had it going well over 180KMPH. :P
