aluminum block 5.3

Anyone have any idea why the aluminum block 5.3 is only available in the 4x4? Seems silly to even produce 4 different 5.3 liter engines:

 

5.3L V-8 (LY5), with iron block

5.3L V-8 (LH6), with aluminum block

5.3L FlexFuel V-8 (LMG), E85-capable with iron block

5.3L FlexFuel V-8 (LC9), E85-capable with aluminum block

 

*The above engine codes are from the new GMT900, but the same 4 engines were used in the "classic" 2007 and previous just without active fuel management

 

Why aren't they all just aluminum block E85 capable? (even if you never plan to run E85, it gives you an higher volume fuel pump, perfect for a supercharger or other go fast add ons)

 

I would still love to see the 6.0 or new L92 6.2 available in a regular cab (remember the '90-'93 454SS ?)
