how to change headlight bulbs 2006

I know this is a dumb question but can someone tell me how to change out the headlight bulbs on a 06 silverado? Thanks

I just had to work on mine during my HID install

 

After popping the hood locate the headlights and on top of each one will be a 6 or 7" L shaped pin that sits in a little notch that slides thru a hole on the top of the headlight assembly.

Pop the pin out of the notch and slide the pin all of the way out.

The light housing assembly is ready to be slowly removed out of position. It will take some wiggling to get it out but pull it out slowly and you will see both bulb harnesses on the backside (side facing the engine compartment)

Unclip the harness to the bulb you want to replace (if its cold becareful so that you do not damage the clip)

Reverse to reinstall.

Buy a pack of latex disposable gloves as you do not want to touch the glass portion of the bulbs
