Hi to everyone,

 

I just aquired a '90 GMC C3500 dually as a weekend hauler. It needs some work, cracked exhaust manifold, worn pitman, brakes...the normal wear and tear and neglect.

 

I don't have any experience on trucks (my daily driver is a Geo Metro, no jokes please) but I'm a pretty fair with tools and can (usually) follow directions!

 

So as I gather (and upgrade) my tools do you have any suggestions about which service manual(s) is(are) the most useful.

Welcome to the forum! There's a ton of info you'll be able to obtain right here on this site. So, as you gather up your tools be sure check back often for any insight into some of the issues you may be having with your rig. Most of the repairs you mentioned should be able to be done without a manual...with the exception of needing a good alignment job after replacing the pitman arm.

 

Then, when all your repairs are made you'll be able to put your GEO METRO into the bed of your dually and enjoy your truck!

Thanks for the welcome. I've already started to pick-up some ideas. First on my list is to replace the exhaust system. I'll be back with questions as soon as I sort out what I want to do.
