make it louder

I just put 5in. exhaust on my 05 duramax straight and i dont think it is that loud. Is there a wasy to make it louder like the fords 6.0 with a straight pipe? Just wondering.

do you have it straight piped? If not that does make it a little louder. Then i would get a bigger downpipe.

a decent sized downpipe and a truly straight pipe will be loud but those turbos act like mufflers to begin with so its not gonna be deafening

I'm not such a big fan of loud desiels....I just like to hear the turbo wiiiine

Not to be mean or anything, I think truck pipes are the most annoying thing ever. I have some pipes on my truck and I'm looking to take them off or make them not so loud... any suggestions?
