some one said that you can get that with the alli? i have only read that it comes with the 4l80e not the alli can anyone help me on this>?>? :exclaim:

I believe that in the Suburban and Avalanche (which are basically the same chassis as the GMC), the Allison Automatic is not an option.  I think the reason is because there is not enough room for that massive tranny because these vehicles have a smaller frame than the HD trucks.

I agre with Shaners - the frame would have to much larger to support the Allison - the 8.1L works very nicely with the 4L80E HD version - no problems.

i was wondering becuase i dealer told my Grandmother that it did come with the alli. but i had heard it didnt.. anywho she wants a yukon xl 2500 to pull a horse trailer. thanks guys.
