1993 GMC 454 Misses Under Acceleration

I have a 1993 GMC Crew Cab Dually That misses under acceleration. Starts fine and idles fine. When the engine is cold, it is very noticable. As the engine warms up, it still is a problem but not as bad. The trans shifts fine. When starting at a stoplight in the morning, it hesitates when I give it some gas and the same as it shifts through the gears. When the engine is warm at a stoplight it takes off just fine. Only under heavy acceleration or when I floor it does start missing badly. If I am easy on the pedal through all the gears, it doesn't miss at all ( when warm). Crusies on the freeway fine but only when I don't have to get on the gas. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you replaced your spark plugs or wires? I would start there.....

I have replaced the plugs and wires and they didn't fix the problem.

I was wondering if a bad tank of gas could be the problem and if so will it be something that has to run its coarse(burning the bad gas) or is there

a way for me to find out sooner.
