Shuttering Chevy

I have a 1998 GMC Sierra K1500 EC Z71 that has developed a problem around 120,000 miles. At around 60-70 mph the truck begins to what feels like shut off. The rpm's do not drop on the tach and the truck continues to run it is just like the truck stops running and instantaneously starts again. It is noticeable as you can feel it as you are driving. I have been chasing this problem for quite some time. Thus far I have: rwplaced the air filter, fuel filter, plug wires, and put in a new fuel pump less than 20,000 miles ago. I also recently flushed the transmission and refilled due to tarnished fluid (unrelated). Can anyone give me a couple ideas on what to do? Is there some tests I could do to eliminate unecessary repairs? Would you suggest having the fuel system flushed professionally?

Please help,

try the EGR valve, I had a similar problem with My 1988. you can find it on the intake near the distributor passenger side of engine. Im not too sure where it is on the newer ones.

I checked the EGR everything is fine, could it possibly be the the torque convertor? I was browsing through another forum and torque converter kept coming up. On a side note I can feel the truck missing when I put my hand over the exhaust. I bought some plugs we will see how that does. Has anyone used the NGK Iridiums?
