Cabin Air Filter Question

Recommended Posts

So i did it, I went ahead and cut up my hvac and installed the cabin air filters. My onyl question is which way is airflow. I currently have it so that airflow goes from driver to passanger side.

My other question is that currently they are side by side, or should it be one infront of the other, thanks!

I have an '01 and the filters are side by side and the air flows from passenger side to drivers side. I think the purpose is to filter the air before it goes through the heater core.

Direcitions what directions

Here is what I did, went to autozone said I needed a cabin air filter for an 02 silverado. Dude got it went home

Then underneath where the cabin filter goes, took out my razor knife and a tape.

started about 1/4 inch in and went 6 inches back leaving 1/8th on the sides.

Cut it liek you are cutting rock.

Then I just dremeled it out.

Slide the two filters in, first one goes in then twoards the firewall, next one goes directly in.

Then used duct tape to cover the hole with 0 leaks.

Any questions hit me up on aim more than glad to help!
