Fog Light Wiring causing 'ding ding ding'

I recently added a set of PIAA 520 fogs and followed the manufacturer's wiring instructions and used their supplied harness & switch. The lights are tied to the driver's side low beam (yellow wire). The lights function properly only when low beams are on but since installing them when I press the electic door lock button when exiting the truck I get a 'ding ding ding' warning bell. If I immediately hit the door lock again it will lock. It's as if there some kind of feed back or something. I suppose I can get used to it but would like to find out the cause and eliminate the annoyance.

Thanks!

You have enabled the delayed locking feature on your truck. In your owners manual it will tell you how to disable it.

Thanks Ryan! Last night it occurred to me that something might be related to that. I've always had the doors lock when I put it in Drive and unlock when in Park. I'll check today to see if the doors are on an actual timed delay rather than my previous preference of 'D' & 'P'. I wonder if having the negative battery term. disconnected for awhile for the install would have reset my preferences.

Thanks again. I'll report back later today if that resolved the issue.

Ryan, you're da' man! The delay lock was on. Turned it off and that warning chime is gone now when I lock my doors when exiting the vehicle!

Thank you!

This board is great!
