I Think Might Have Found Vin# For Motor?

Ok, so I went out and looked for the vin number on the motor. I found a few numbers. I looked from the top under the hood. I sat up in the motor and looked in the back right where the tranny bolts to the motor, and I found this first: GM5.7LG and then I looked beside that, on a little lip or something, and it was covered with a bunch of crap, dirt and mud and oil and grease, but I grabed a flat head screw driver and uncovered that part and I think this is the vin number of the motor, but im not sure, here:E0970, the zeros might be O, but im not sure, hard to read it with dirt and everything on it. But I also crawled under the truck and found these numbers on each side of the block:538. Now, I need help looking this number up. can someone help me out, I think this might be a 350 because it has GM5.7LG stamped on the back by the vin #-if it is the vin number.

Hey, I was just doing a search on google and came across this website. and I found out the E0970, that is the date of the motor. So e stands for the month, and 09 is the day, and 70 being the year. So I haven't found the vin number yet, but I did find the size of the motor stamp. The GM5.7LG is the size of the motor, and on both sides of the block I found the size, which says 538, now I am wondering? Still haven't found the vin number to the motor, still trying to find it.
