Front End Lift For Nbs Trucks

Recommended Posts

I think the front end of my Sierra sits too low and Id like to level it to match the rear. I have seen some kits that are coil spring spacers. Anyone use these esp. on the NBS, how do they work?? Good quality? Are they going to sacrifice ride/handling/alignment??? thanks

Of course it will affect ride and handling, how could it not? I wouldn't mess with it.

Not only that it will hurt fuel economy.

You have a truck, you're not expecting great fuel economy in the first place.

Every-bit helps and with gas at $3.24 and the national average going to $3.50+ this summer i am doing everything to get the very best MPG out of my trucks.

Anyone have a picture of a leveled 07 NBS? I have an 07 NBS crew crew cab 2wd that I think would look great level.

Should have bought a 4x4 then. here is a 4x4, not quite level, but close.

I think the 4x4's sit just as low in the front as the 2WD. Mine isn't all that unlevel - I just like the completely level look. BTW, that driveway isn't level.

The spacers sit on top of the coil.... so it doesn't impact on the ride at all... the spring rates are unchanged. With the old torsion bar set up - leveling it made a BIG difference in ride... not so with a coil over set up like the NBS trucks have when you use the spacers on top. The truck will require an alignment after you install though.

Sounds good. You have any idea if this voids the warranty?

I called my Chevy dealer service department and they said it would only void the warranty on a repair that they could reasonably prove was caused by the modification. It wouldn't void the whole warranty. He said he didn't think it would be a problem since it wasn't a torsion key crank but rather a coil spacer.
