I just bought a factory radio for my mothers 2005 GMC and I put it in and it says it is locked. How do I unlock it? Please help.

Owner use to be able to set the code but seems now you have no choice but to take it in to the dealer and have it unlocked. Its not cheap either for what they do.

Did you buy it from the dealer or a private party? I had bought an OEM radio for my wife's Jeep from a private party and the guy I bought it from wrote the unlock code in grease pen on the actual unit, I e-mailed him thanking him for doing so and he said that most people write it in the owners manual and that is where he found it when he was parting it out!
