94 Burb Noises

I have a 94 burb that I just replaced the engine and tranny in. The only problem that continues is when started and shut off, there is a loud clicking noise coming from the passengers side under dash (HVAC system). Any help on this would be great, the truck is in great condition and was worth replacing the enging and tranny in.

I have a 94 burb that I just replaced the engine and tranny in. The only problem that continues is when started and shut off, there is a loud clicking noise coming from the passengers side under dash (HVAC system). Any help on this would be great, the truck is in great condition and was worth replacing the enging and tranny in.

 

 

Its the motor that has a lever and arm that closes the blend door for max ac, its been awhile, but I think the plastic gear breaks and the motor keeps spinning and catching. If you get waaaay up under the passenger side and bend you back with your head tilted till you think your gonna kill yourself you can see it or feel it.

To get to it, I think you can take out the glove box pretty easy and then the thick foam insulation material that covers the blower fan.

 

When it breaks you just don't have the outside air shut off anymore so you can't recirculate on max ac
