Probably going to need a lot of work if it's been grandpa driven. Especially with that low of miles. I would feel better about it if it had over 100K. Your going to need to start with the usual filters, fluids, tranny, differential, coolant and then work your way to the hoses, wires and serpentine. Check for corrosion on the wires and hoses. Coolant might be especially sludgy if it's been sitting that long. Make sure the fuel line isn't rusted from moisture, bleed the brake lines and for the hell of it change the plugs and wires. I would probably get new tires if it still has the originals on. I think that outta do it! :)

well i was told was kept in garage and kept in good shape.

These trucks like to be driven, that's why I said the engine might need quite a bit of maintenance. Hoses get hard and crack over time being stored in a garage won't prevent those sorts of things.

With that few miles it may need some maintenance but the 88-98 model was an excellent truck. The dash was changed to the round smooth style in 1995.

Yea I know these are solid trucks, and with 22k on it. I hope to have no problems that is if I get my money back for my dakota which I say is a HUNK of junk. Never buy dodge again, will buy GM. Test drove one, it ran like a dream of course this was the new one but I don't have that kind of money hanging around at 17.

Youll like it alot, I bought a 1988 RCSB silverado 4x4 when I was 16. the only problems were a power window

motor, EGR valve,

the trans had to be rebuilt @163Kmiles but previously it was used as a construction company work truck and at the time I didnt know I wasnt supposed to tow in Overdrive!. Otherwise it is still kickin at over 200K miles, the odometer stopped at 184K. Now it only really gets 120 miles to a tanks (25 gals) Because of some of the mods I did to it.

It's a great truck. I had a 95 Silverado. That was the first year of interior refresh and the air bag. It had a couple rust problems (under rear tail lights and below door mirrors) but besides that thing was a rock.

Do you mind if I ask what he's wanting for it? The reason I ask is that I have a '95 K1500 with 55K original miles that I'm trying to sell. Mine was always garaged, and is in immaculate condition as well (no scratches, dings, etc.). I thought it was a one of a kind, but it looks like there is at least one more. :)

I'll try and post up a picture this weekend, but like was said earlier, the dash is rounded and there is an air bag on the driver's side, but not the passenger side.

That is too much! He wants $11-13k USD for a 12 model year old truck. You could buy a brand new 07 Classic for that price or something a lot newer with not that many more miles. I'm seeing 03-06's selling for that price locally with a good amount of options and about 25-40k miles.

Maybe i should buy something out of the states especially with the current exchange rate. But that means traveling. It's a good 5-6 hours to the border.

EDIT: I was looking for 03-06 and they are all selling for like 25-30 k canadian with about 60k km's with 150k km's I can get one for 15k.
