so here is the debate....my truck '98 Sierra 350. Time for an exhaust change before I order my wait4me tune. Should I......

Keep the stock 2 1/4" pipe and run true dual Flowmaster super 44's or

throw on some reversed reducers, run 2 1/2" pipe into a super 40 2 1/2" di/do.

I'm looking for an aggressive tone....I wanna sound mean. But I'm also gonna have to soon be makin some 4 hour interstate trips about twice a month, and I dont want to have unbearable in cab drone ( I surely dont mind hearing it though, its like music to me). What would you guys do if you were in my place???

Lets try to keep it between those choices :D

I would actually do 2.5" true duals with Super 44s, that sounds like it would be the right size pipe to maintain your backpressure yet sound great and give that great Flowmaster rumble :driving:

I had true dual on my 96 Z71. I bought the JC Whitney exhaust kit that has the resonated tips. I used only the piping from it. I had two 3" stainless tips already and I bought a flowmaster h-pipe and two 2 1/2" 40 series mufflers. The pipes from JCW stepped it up from stock to fit 2.5". It sounded really good and people told me how good it sounded all the time. everyone though it was a camaro or t/a coming cause of the agressive sound.
