2007 Nnbs Silverado Console Removal

Does anybody know how to remove the center console in a 2007 NNBS Silverado. I spilled coke in my cup holder are and it ran down under the black rubber mats and is coming out of the sides of the console ny the carpet. I was going to pull it and clean the carpet.

I have a new body style Silverado crew cab LTZ, so my reply is based on what I have in my truck. This is what mine now looks like with an optional tray replacement... http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n274/19...ocrewcabL-6.jpg

Is your console the type with the recessed tray just ahead of the compartment with the lift up arm rest?

If so, use pressure on either side of the tray edges and you should be able to remove the tray from the console surround. It's held in place with plastic clips. Once the tray is removed, you'll see all kinds of electrical components beneath, depending on the options in your truck. Some of the mounting fasteners should be in there and probably more inside the storage compartment beneath the lift up arm rest. You might find some fastener attaching point on either side of the console as shown in my image.

Your issue is why no one drinks anything but water in our vehicles. I dislike cup holders as much as I do ashtrays.
