Adding Rear Locker For Towing

I've got a 3.42 in my new SLT, but would like to consider putting in a 3.73 locker for towing. What would my approximate cost be, and would I be able to re-sell my 3.42 with 3K miles on it?

Is your vehicle 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive

assuming your rig is 2wd, if its an slt it should have the stock posi unit (g80) which locks under 20mph, or is that a towing option? only advantages really would be on slippery uphills or adverse traction conditions... Look around 1500 for front and rear if 4 by. Anyway i dont think you're going to find too many people who would want a used 3.42, not too many half ton people are interested in swapping gears, especially that low of a ratio.

2WD, so I would only be replacing the back. I can't get anyone to confirm or deny that this is a locker, and I don't have a slippery boat ramp to go climb at the moment. Is there another way to tell?

Check the codes in the glove box? There should be a G80 there if you have the locker.
