07 Nbs Ltz Interior Trim

I'm not a big fan of the burlwood interior trim of the LTZ interior. With my black interior, I'd really like a more sporty look like carbon fiber. I know some of the Avalanche's have carbon fiber on certain trim levels, but I'm not sure if those pieces would fit a Silverado...and if it did the price by buying piece by piece would be excessive.

Has anyone replaced their trim with a quality product?

I would like to know as well, that's the ONLY thing I don't much care for in the LTZ trim package, feels like an old mans truck.

Here is an Avalanche with "brushed metal" interior.

I remember looking at an Avalanche with carbon fiber earlier in the year. This brushed metal is nice too.

Do an internet search using keywords "burlwood dash or brushed aluminum dash". There will be plenty of companies to select from. You can also do an EBAY search using keywords "2007 Silverado". There are usually 2-3 sellers with replacement trim pieces in burlwood finish primarily, but they probably also have a brushed aluminum finish. The companies might offer a core exchange for their products.

Most of these after market companies product both as well as other "exotic" finishes (carbon fiber, rosewood, etc). Some use thin plastic overlays while others use the same process that GM uses. I don't know what they call the process, but I believe it's a water based film process that leaves the desired finish on top of the plastic trim piece, then is covered in a durable plastic coating.

After hating that fake wood and Mini van / SUV dash for about a year, when trading the Tahoe in for a '07 Silverado I had a choice of my number one exterior color pick with that horrible dash OR go with a close second exterior color pick with the Truck dash with the metal accents. Guess it's just old school but IMO a full size truck deserves a truck dashboard which allows three across up front (if needed) and NO fake looking and feeling foe-wood accents. Was thinking if I kept the Tahoe any longer then the mod ferry would do some shopping here http://www.wooddashexperts.com/customer/chevrolet-dash.php
