Im having more problem with my 87. We Went and playing in the river bed in two wheel drive and starting that night when you put in gear, (any gear though reverse is particularily bad) It will either stall, or the rpms will drop to around 300 then come buck up to 600 then drop to five and idle there and miss a bunch, the idle used to be about 600-650 nad at 5 it shakes the truck to peices (cant see anything in the mirrors they vibrate so bad) so far I've cleaned the plugs and done a compression test, and replaced a leaking injector which helped the miss alot but didnt quite eliminate it. Im suspecting the distributor. any other ideas?

You may want to replace the throttle position sensor. They don't like getting wet.
