I went to my local dealer today to have my pcm updated with the new cal files and at the same time i asked them if they could re-program my bcm, the tech told me (even without checking) that he can't as the bcm is only a one time programmable, is this true ? i remember clearly them re-programming my bcm for the fog lights and the keyless entry, now i want them to remove thr rpo code t61 and replace it with t62 so my drl are disabled, and they told me no, is there a way to do it or is he just pulling my chain and can't do it ?

if so, could those aftermarkets programmers do it ?

Thanks...

the bcm can be reprogrammed to update calibrations and so forth, but when you put a new bcm in you have to set all the option codes and set the accessories that it does and doesnt have, that part of it is a one time thing and is permanent... so no, there is no way to change the option codes once they are set..( unless you wanna replace your bcm?)
