Bearing Hub Assembly Issues....again!

My 01 Silverado has 114,000 miles on it. around 65-70K miles I replaced the bearing hub assembly on the left hand side. I went to GM and bought a new assembly for about $250. The hub is making a squeaking noise just like it did on the old one. It's getting louder day by day. I have resolved to buy another new assembly, my question is there something else that is causing that bearing to wear out faster. I don't drive on an oval track so it's not like I'm making a lot of high speed left hand turns. My driving is basically 60% expressway, 40% surface streets.

I had my alignment checked and everything is fine, no adjustments were needed. I checked the front suspension. and "A" arms are not bent, tires and wearing correctly, and the front end is lubed every 20K miles. I checked the upper and lower ball joints, but there is no play whatsoever in them.

Did I happen to buy a replacement assembly that was just bad and wore prematurely??

One of the easiest ways to ruin a hub assy is hitting objects at an angle with the front wheel. For example rolling up next to a curb and knocking the curb at an angle.

Another issue is pot holes...I don't know drive but mine in wisconsin, minnesota you can lose a suspension in some of them before they get fixed.

I had a similar problem with a blazer and was told this...straight on they are tough as nails, but angular bumps...doesn't take much are tough on them....

There is a sheetmetal press on cover on the backside. If is isn't seated it can come loose and you lose the grease in the bearing. once the assembly is installed it is almost impossible to tell. You might have to remove the 3 bolts and look at it. Not sure if you can get away with greasing it or not... My guess is no.
