L76 is the current 6.0Lsmallblock found in the 1500 series trucks....and particular cars (Holdens and the Pontiac G8). It's all aluminum and rated at 367 hp and 375 lbft in the trucks.

The LQ9 was the previous gen 6.0L smallblock found in the 1500 trucks such as the Escalade and SS Silverado. It was an iron block with aluminum heads and rated at 345 hp and 380 lbft.
