Cabin Heat Control

I have a 2001 Tahoe with a standard climate control system.

Based on another thread in this forum, I replaced my blend damper actuator because when I turned my temp control to 100% hot, it would not go back to cool unless I parked the truck for about 30 minutes or more. After replacing the actuator, I removed all the fuses I could find relating to the HVAC system, the A/C, or the Heater. There were three under the hood and two in the dash panel. I left them out over night but the problem remains. With the new actuator in, I can now go up to about 75% of full hot and still return to 0% but if I go all the way to hot with the temp knob, I can't back it off until the truck has been shut down for an extended period.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I tried pulling fuses on mine with the same problem but that didn't fix it. I reluctantly scheduled n appointment at the dealer for a recalibration. I think you'll need to do the same. I imagine when the actuator is replaced you have to set it to a certain temperature during the install, sort of like top-dead-center on an engine, so the new actuator knows the travel limits if not, you'll experience what you have now. The dealer recalibration probably sets those limits.
