Daytime Running Lights / Fog Lights

I've been thinking of buying 10000k HIDs for my truck but the daytime running lights are the low beams and I don't want my hids to stay on all the time so can I make the fog lights daytime running lights and the HID's low beams?

I have been trying to do the same thing. I have found a company that offers a module to either have your amber corner lens on or fog lights on instead of the low beam headlights. Here is the email I got when I did my research last week:

"Turn signal DRL module/kit: Economy - DRL 2005 E (will handle two or all four turn signal bulbs current consumption [or 4 parking lights if necessary]) - $89 + $8.50 US shipping via FedEx Two Relay pack: Not actually listed per sey on the site, but our GSS-1 twin relay kit in the headlight DRL section, or the FGR-1 twin relay kit in the Fog light section - either one would get you the right relays. $9 PS You would have to remind us that you want to have our DRL module turn the Silverado's reduced power low beam headlight DRL feed off - we would build the wiring diagram and 'mini' install manual for the two extra relays from that info. We've done this before [turn off factory DRLs with our system and twin relays] (on the VW R32 Golf on our site, and on other cars), but have yet to document this for a customer by request."

Their website is BestDRLs

Hope this helps

Some of the Ford guys do this, I think they just pulled the DRL wire from the headlamp and do a little wire splicing and route it down with the fog lamp harness.
