Getting More Out Of My 2007 Bose System

I have a 2007 Silverado NBS EC 1500 that came with the Bose system. Although it's not bad what would be the easiest and quickest add-on to get more out of it - an amp or subs? Also how easy would it be to install? Thanks.

An amp will make it louder and a sub will add bass. You could get a sub and get a multi channel amp to power it and your speakers aswell but I don't know what the stock speakers can handle. As for installing it you can tuck the amp under the seat or behind the rear seat and then if you get an 8" sub you can make a small box and put it on the floor between the floor mats. Theres also a company called subthump that makes custom fit boxes to go under the rear seat and you can get them in a variety of combinations

Amping factory Bose speakers doesn't work all that well. They're all out of whack with normal speakers when it comes to all the ohms/watts/etc stuff.

Adding an amp and a sub is pretty straightforward though. I did it in my SS and it sounds pretty nice.

Leave everything alone and change the tweeters only....use a high quality tweeter. Once you do this, listen to the system and decide if you need anything else. The difference is huge.

Now, if you want base, that's a different story..... I wanted some base so I have them make a coustom box with (1) 12in Kennwood low profile sub (fit's under the 40 split part of the back seat).. and a bad ass amp.

I have the bose system as well in my 2007 NBS and want to beef up the stereo with removing the stock head unit. How exactly do I wire in new speakers/tweeters/amp and sub to the bose system?
