i've been wanting to get a tune for a month now and the only thing thats stopping me is WITCH TUNE TO GO WITH i like the idea of W4M with the 3 tunes pre loaded into a handheld tuner, But i like the Edge, also because it has the little info screen that tells you 1/4 mile times and 0 to 60 and stuff like that but its also the most expensive at $380 , i found another guy in this forum charley wheatley , he's not too far from me (20 miles) so it would be the eaisest to go with him but i dont know too much about him and also i do some hauling and towing (it is a truck after all) and a few people told me that if i get a high preformance tune that if i would be hauling , that my trany would get hot and its just not good for the truck, thats why i like the w4m so im open to any and all suggestions sorry for such a long post but youre the only guys that would understand me lol .

Thanks For Reading.

BS on the tranny getting too hot. Have had many tunes on many vehicles. No problems and no difference on the tranny temp of any noticeable significance, and yes they had gauges or readouts.

you have a nbs 07? Do the drive and tune depending on the $. I don t think the evo will be best if you have the nbs 07. I have a w4me tune and it s pretty good. If your truck is not heavily modified I believe all the custom tuners have the same tunes more or less. Lets face it, they all know what the others are doing. I got a w4me at a $75 special with both the ecm and tcm tuned. I m also not a fan of having 3 tunes, doesn tmake much sense to me. Put in a good all around tune and forget it. I have been to the dealers a half dozen times or so and no issues with the tune. I do have the original ecm but do not even bother changing them for dealer trips. Also, do a search, this topic has been gone over and over with not much new to add yet.

I hear lots of good things about Wheatley tunes. Just make sure to tell him what octane to tune for and that you haul things.

Awesome yeah after my tune she holds 1st to 45-47mph, then shifts into 2nd at 88-89mph. That's with 3.73's and 265 tires.

Okay, no one listed where you purchase these systems or what exactly they are.

Are these merely a chip that you can easily change?

What was the effect on fuel mileage?

Where do you purchase these at?

Prices?

What improvements are to be found other than the higher shift points? Will it always shift at the higher points?
