Santa aka the big brown truck dropped off a few items:

The small box is the lockpick. Thanks to Hawk for setting up the GP on that.

He also dropped off some Husky mud flaps. So I installed those as well. Automotive Accessories Connection has all 4 of those for under $60 shipped.

The rear tire/wheel had to removed on each side to drill in four places. The 20" combo only weighs 83lbs. :nono:

Husky includes some 3M clear film to install so the flaps will not rub your paint off. You can see the thicker factory installed clear film on the rear area, the film that came in the kit was installed above the factory film.

The fronts can be done without removing the tires. You just drill one hole up front. On the fronts the included 3M film gets installed to cover the underneath area as well. I let the film dry overnight before I installed the mud guards today. The instructions just say to let the film dry before installing the guards.

I got to say when I saw the Made in China on the inside of the factory wheel, I was pissed. :driving::throwup::loser:

The steps where an easy install as well. 8 bolts on each side.

Thanks to Hawk for posting pics of the same steps a while back, I knew then I had to have them.

GMpartsdirect had the best price shipped for me. $540 total and the shipping was only $11. I called a few discount parts dealers and the next cheapest price was $590-shipping being $80 of that for the 80lbs box. Part # 17801890

Yeah, great color choice. I've noticed the Chinese wheels more and more on the GMs. I've also noticed that instead of just bending, there is usually an accompanying crack with the Chinese wheel. Very disappointed in GM. The Chinese wheel at this time is of a poorer quality low-pressure casting. Inferior to American and European process. Low pressure results in casting voids (air bubbles) that are not visible but if near the flange edge can crack without a sufficient impact to bend the wheel, a defect I have not noticed in other OEM wheels. They do a beautiful job on the finish and if they ever get it together on the casting they will be a contender. Haven't seen the use of Chinese by any of the other US mfgrs. Ford wheels are the toughest, usually forged and very strong.

Mark, Great looking truck you have there!

Fred, great minds think alike. If I ever get a crack in one of these wheels, someone needs a foot up there ashe.

sierraacc, Darn! I should of done a better job looking for a deal.

Will, Easy install on the lockpick. Just the surround trim was a PITA to remove, it felt like it was going to break. Just follow the instruction video on the site. I also will be installing a camera in the future.

Thanks Mark!
