Engine Temperature

I havent noticed but how hot is the Engine supposed to be before the fans come on?

2005 Sierra 5.3 with 2 cooling fans.

Do they both come on at once or?

Gauge in dash is always on 210 or just close to it.

Never hear them come on.

i drive an '02 sierra.. 4.8 ...close to what ur drivin, and thats about the temp it runs at.. that truck has a clutch fan though, not electric...but usually only one fan comes on...they both come on together if the a/c is on or the engine gets very hot... dunno if that helps u at all.. but i tried...haha
