96 1500 Front End Binding In Turns During 4wheel Engagement

My 1996 Cheyenne drives perfect, turns on a dime, all in two wheel drive. In four wheel drive, hi or low, the front end begins to bind up and hop during normal turns. A sharp turn will actually lock something up to the point where the truck will act like the emergency brake is partially deployed. To resolve this I straighten the steering out and maneuver forward and backwards a few feet and it frees up. Differential 80-90 gear oil level up to par. CV boots excellent, and no noticeable play in CV joints. All other steering components regulary greased and no obvious problems. If it were a steering issue it would be present in 2 wheel drive as well, I figure. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if so how did you remedy it. Anybody know if a faulty Thermal Linear Actuator (TLA), the electronic device which enages the front differential yoke into four wheel, can cause this problem by not correctly engaging the limited slip? Seen a lot of other posts on other sites with similar problems but nobody seems to have a definitive answer. Would really appreciate some feedback (Snow is falling and the only access to my home is by four wheel drive and its cold driving my tractor to pavement.)

I believe perfectly normal for a four wheel drive. Because the radius is not equal for the inside front and the outside front tires powering them causing one to over ride the other creating what you describe.
