HOW DO I REPLACE THE REAR SPARK PLUG ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE ON MY 2002 DENALI? MY HAND BARELY FITS BACK THERE.

I'm not sure if a 2500Hd is different under the hood or not but i used a universal and it came right out.

If you are not 6 ft tall or better, get something to stand on.

Use a 3/8" drive flex head long handled ratchet with a 1" ext and a spark plug socket. In my case, I did not use a universal joint. I like the ratchet to be as close as possible to the plug with no flexing going on.

The socket should fit right on the plug with the short ext. Reach in there and it should come right out.

Be sure to do this while the engine is cold. The threads have been known to come out of alum heads if they are hot when you pull the plugs. Not a good thing at all.

haha, yah its a bich, but i get it with a 3/8 swivel plug socket... getting the wire off without breaking it is the hard part, they have taken a lot of blood from me from scraping knuckles

Ojab, I hope you are not trying to re-use the wires. You can try but many times they will have internal damage from pulling them off. I really recommend replacing the wires with the plugs and be sure to use dielctric grease in the boots and anti seize on the plug threads.
