I like these a lot, especially for the money. But, they are absolutely straight, with no curved or rounded ends. I wish the ends had a little flare inside (not the ones that wrap all the way under the truck, just curve in a bit). Regardless I still think they look great and may end up getting a set for my truck.

They look nice, and 304 is high quality stainless. However, 4" oval seems a bit small. Not as a step per se, but for protecting the rocker/lower door area of the truck. Mine are the 6" GM Oval Stainless bars and I love how they protect the lower part of the truck. We have had snow and slop here for the past week and these steps work really well for keeping it off the truck.

hey vmax, the steps you got are pure stright? no curves or any thing like that as the guy was talking about who posted previous to you? and also u remember how much u pay for the 6" or it come with truck?hit me back, thanks

if u scroll down they say they have some that will fit classic and Nbs.. if I was you I would contact the seller and set up a order making sure its for the nbs..that's what I plan on doing come christmas

They are straight, but the end caps have an angle on the end. I had the dealer install them prior to taking delivery. I did my research while waiting for my truck to come in. I didn't like the $625 price tag, so I went shopping around and I found these to be worth it IMO. I figured since I was spending almost 40K on the truck, why not spring for an extra $200 to get what I really wanted. They are 100% stainless and are covered by my factory warranty. But since they are 300 series stainless steel, I can't see what could possibly go wrong with them? They are very strong and mount to existing factory designed holes in the rocker structure under neath. No drilling or using cab mounts. Cab mounts are ok, but can cause squeeking. No regrets and if I were to buy again, I would not even consdier anything else. I had aftermarket 3" round sstl ones on my 2000 and I did like those too, but these are better, they protect the truck better since they are 6" wide.

im just thinkin the raptor 4" might have to much shine, the gms or bigger but more expensive,

both have good warentees.... darn. decisions, decisions.

Yep, that's them, except mine is a crew cab, these are ext cab size.

My neighbor also has the GM 6" bars like VMax, great look bars and like VMax said they really do protect the doors from snow and gravel.

 

Although I really do not like the $$$$ that these things cost, need to start saving my pennies so I can purchase them sometime in the future!

 

Hopefully within the next year some aftermarket ones will come out that might be cheaper.

Will do, some of the ebay feedback mentions that it takes him a while to ship so I'm not expecting them very soon. Plus they're coming from CA and I'm in TX. Hopefully I will get them by Friday of next week so I can put them on over the weekend....not counting on it though.

 

For the price these are by far the best steps I've seen....I hope I'm not disappointed when I see them in person.

I too have the same GM 6" ovals that Vmax has. You can see pics of mine here there is a link in that thread for getting the crew cab steps for $481 shipped. I paid $540 shipped for mine.

      You're better read than that Atlas. 😏   British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke formulated three adages that are known as Clarke's three laws, of which the third law – that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" – is the best known and most widely cited.   Stribeck and the pivotable Hersey Number isn't voodoo nor snake oil. That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's. We just don't know what they are yet and it will take longer to sort as MARKETING and GREEDY CEO's have had more time to polish the turd they are selling.

      You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
