Power Seat And Lumer Problems

I have a 2000 seirra slt with driver side power seat problems. 1. The seat moves forward and backward momentarily when the switch is moved to the respective position. To go from one extreme position to the other, it takes about 10 "flicks" of the switch as the seat moves about 1/2" then stops untill the switch is releases and hit again. 2. The other problem is that the lumbar activates at various times on its own. I prefer no added lumbar at all, but it seems that when you put downward pressure on the front edge of the seat, it periodically fills up the lumbar bladder. I have worked around this by disconnecting the plug behind the switch, but my wife complains about not having it. I'm not sure if these problems are related to each other or not, as I purchased this truck used and the problems were there when I bought it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have this same problem exactly with my 2000 truck. The lumbar has always done this since I bought the truck. (new) but the seat has just started doing the stop and go thing. Now it is getting annoying.. Can anyone provide some suggestions. I can't believe these are isolated events.
