I will look forward to seeing actual results. I think you can get significantly better mileage also, if you get your hiway rpm down to 1800 rpm.

You won't be able to go any taller than 238/85R16. The 255/85R16s are too wide, they rub together on the rears. If you really want to go taller, a set of 19.5 aluminum wheels is the way to go. The aluminum wheels don't add much weight.

Cool, thanks for the info. The 19.5 wheels are semi wheels or custom wheels for our trucks? What sort of tires are offered for these 19.5 wheels?

Thanks

There are a few companies that sell direct bolt on 19.5s, and others that sell 8 lug to 10 lug adaptors which allow you to run semi truck 19.5 / 22.5 or 24.5 wheels. There are 4 standard sizes in 19.5. They are 225/70R19.5, 245/70R19.5, 265/70R19.5, and 285/70R19.5.

A site that seems to be fairly helpful is www.ricksontruck.com. They have more details about the tires, sizes, etc.
