Hey guys been a while but i just got some new toys to play with just got a Diablo sport preditor and got to tell you this is the best d**n thing ive done to the truck yet. Anyone curious as to what programmer to get should look no farther than the diablo sport. I have a whole new truck and it will work with my nitrous system, (you have to get a custom tune from the dealer ) but still wow. No more TM issues it now shifts and hauls ass....

anyway the question i have is my girl decided to spoil me and also get me one of those G-tech window things that mesure g's ive been doing alot of reading they send a 110 page book out to you when you get it. To set this thing up i need to know what my truck weighs...anyone have any idea as to what my truck weighs without GVWR as this will only give me gross total payload.

2004 gmc sierra ex cab short bed.

4x4

thanks

Yeah thanks mes this has made my day today ive been driving around town like a maniac and loving it. I used to have a hypertech and i do not miss it at all. This diablo sport is the best think i got for the truck yet. I cant wait till i figrue out how to use the g-tech and get some cool specs to you guys.

ok i found some info online .....through intellachoice.com or something like that, a used car buying company had old specs on silverados sierra's

it says 4919 lbs curb weight.

it also said gvw is 6400 lbs so i think this is about right...i just was hoping that one of you all would know that off the top of your head...lol i guess ill have to stop by a local truck stop to be totaly shure.

ok found out my truck weighs 5860lbs ...not bad still a big ole pig...lol

Edmunds.com says 4919 lbs., and I would agree with that. 5860 sounds way too high. Have fun with the Gtech. I've got one myself, and while I don't know how accurate the numbers are they're definitely repeatable.

**Just remember when you enter the weight to account for any add-ons (such as tool boxes and the like). The 4919 lb. curb weight includes the weight of a full tank of gas, but nothing else. Remember to add your own weight as well!

yeah i went to a truck scale here in maryland and you guys would of laughed...i couldnt even reach the call button to tell them what i wanted to do. I had to clim on the edge of my rocker to reach it...

Funny story just before entering the scale i asked one of the local truckers how it works and he told me ...."well you just pull up to the last yellow line with your front axel and get out and push the call button...you will have to stand up on your..Pause..(looked at my westin sport bars).(thinking i guess you dont stand on those..looser) then said "stand on your door ledge and push the button."

you should of saw this guys face when he was looking for regular step bars and saw my sport bars wich work just like the ones on the harley davidson f150's (wasnt trying to copy them i just like the bars) It was priceless.

But i still think im goint to have to make it to a track one day..those gtech things seem to be so touchy about how you have them mounted..lol
