Trailer Harness Trouble

I tried posting this in the general Silverado forum, got some good suggestions, but nothing that panned out.

On on '04 Silverado I am NOT getting 12v to the right rear brake light pin in the 7 pin trailer wire plug. Strange thing is that I do get voltage when using the right rear turn signal. (tested with multimeter) The fuse under the hood is good, and the wireing from the fuse panel back is good as I can get the turn signal. Just no right rear brake light on the trailer plug. Any suggestions?

Also, this may be related or may not be....All the lights in the truck (interior, dash, head lamps, etc) pulse very slightly. This is not affected by increasing rpms (they do it reguardless). Could this be alternator trouble? or possibly battery? computer module?

Thanks for the help.

I'd chase the ground wire. I used to never use a ground wire and until the trailer would ground through the hitch my lights would never work right. After about 3 miles of driving they'd all be working but If i'd hit the brake pedal, no brake lights would come on and the side lights would go dim. The turn signals would work unless i hit the brake pedal. After i hooked a ground wire through the switch it all worked fine. Maybe your ground is bad or maybe you have a dead short in a wire.
