Steering Issue

My truck had a slight knocking fill to it when I bought it. It had 39,000 miles when i bought it used. The saelsmans son worked at the shop and said his did the same thing that it was just a blot in the steering. In two minutes he had tightened it and it was fine. I have about 53,000 on the truck now and its starting to get that knocking feel again when I turn it all the way to the left. Anyone else have this issue? I'd like to just fix it and not have to take it to the dealer everytime.

What did he mean by a blot in the steering. My 2003 Silverado had the same thing from new, but it never became a problem. It has 90K now. I noticed it more when it was cold.

I think he meant to say bolt.
