Body Work Issues

I'm having issues with getting the body work finished on my 65 impala. Why is it that if you want a good job, all the good shops take forever to accomplish the task at hand. I wish I had the talent to do body work and just do it myself but I don't. I thought this time around I finally found a place that was going to take my 65 get it in and get it done. Heck it has been at the shop for over two months now and has hardly been touched. I understand that it is a major project and if I want a good job it will take a good solid 7 weeks or better to accomplish but why bother taking the task at hand if you can't deliver? When I took the car over to them they even sat down with me and we worked out a time line to have it finished. Well that came and went. Is there anyplace out there that will actually work on a project from the time they tell you to take it to them until it is finished all in one time frame? I mean once the car is done they will have cash in hand..... I just don't understand it. I know they have bills to pay and if that is the case I would be more than happy to pay according to the amount of work they accomplish each week. It is very frustrating. Now the car is all stripped down and I'm stuck. Since it is no longer in driving condition I'm at their mercy. Now they are telling me it might be done by the end of Feb but even then they can't say for sure. Sorry for venting but it took the engine shop six months just to rebuild the engine and add a few extras so it is coming up on a year that I initially dropped it off to get it done and I want my car back.

I feel your pain. Things like that also make it all the more sweet when you finally get it back.
