Weird Squeal/ Faint Whistle

Anyone experiencing a faint whistle sound inside the cab? It's not always there and I notice it most when in stop and go traffic or just coasting at slower speeds... It's really getting on my nerves, please tell me someone has this same issue and has discovered the problem.

Slipping serpentine belt perhaps? Sometimes I notice this, but not since last summer. There is a TSB on this.

I guess I should add my 2 cents. I have the exact same problem. I hear a faint whistle. It is definitely not a squeak. When I ask the dealer about it, he suggested it might be intake noise. Could be I guess but it is still very annoying.

You didn't happen to install a throttle body spacer, did you? Thats about all they do...

My truck did it for the first while but now I haven't heard it lately. It definately came from the front I was thinking it was the alternator bearing. thanks for the reminder I will really listen for it to make sure it is gone. I have the 5.3.

mine has one around 73 mph ... but thats about it .. other then the brake squeel if i take to long to stop at a red light ...
