Removing The Overload Spring?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I my name is Enrique and im from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and i Install 3 weeks ago the CST 6-8" Lift Kit with 2.0 Fox Shox w/reservoir and on the back i remove the OE 2" block and replace it with the cst 5" block and a 1.5" add a leaf but the problem is that the back of the truck is stiff and very bumpy so i send an email to performacelifts to see what can i do cause i was thinking in putting a 6" Deaver Springs and they told me that i should remove first the factory overload spring and try it before spending $600+ on a new set of deaver springs.

So can someone tell me if this would work? I want a nice ride on offroad but i dont know if removing the overload spring will affect the rest of the springs.

and also i want to reinstall the OE 2" block cause the back of the truck sits exactly 2" in relation to the front and i really dont like how it looks.

I bet the ride is stiff because of the shocks. The larger blocks wont effect the ride and the AAL doesnt really either and that is all you changed in the rear besides shocks right?

Can you adjust the rebound and dampening on the fox shocks?

Did you use a short AAL or long AAL?

I wouldnt remove the overload spring.

if by rebound you mean the valving that would be yes but i have to send them back to fox to revalve the shocks.

the AAL i dont know if its short o long actually its a Fabtech AAL.

thanks for your opinion on the overload spring.
