Shaking While Braking

I put the 22's on the truck now when i hit the brakes the truck shakes somthing fierce. any one have any ideas of what it could be

The brake rotors were warped and now the effects are magnified, due to the increase in wheel size.

Wheels/tires not balanced.

Wheels/tires mounted properly.

overtighting lugs will warp rotors also

I've heard u-joint can do that sometimes. But warped rotors would be my guess.

Shaking may occur at low speed, brake application may be red herring. Is there shaking at same speed without braking? Is there vibration at a higher speed? If drums on rear, were drum retaining clips still on studs? Most custom wheels do not have a chamfered relief cut in back of mount surface retaining clips will cock wheel out of plane with axle (wobble.)

I have a similar problem. Truck is a 95 c2500 295,xxx. it has been shaking for awhile but when i changed the front brakes last week it got worse. It has new rotors, bearing, pads, idler arm, pitman arm, and shocks. I had the ball joints and tie rods/ends checked and the shop said they were in 'great' condition. It gives a minor shudder below 40 mph, once above 45 it gets pretty harry. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Yea definitely like Draenor was saying. Large wheels magnify the effects of warped rotors. My best advice would be to replace your rotors with some meant for large wheels. If you replace them with the small rotors you'll probably burn them up much sooner because of the additional rotating mass.
